Submission Guidelines
Proposals should be limited to a query letter; an email will generate the quickest response. If querying by email, please note in the memo box "book proposal." Send no attachments unless requested. What we look for at this stage is suitability of the proposed book to our publishing program (see categories below) as well as the author's unique qualifications for writing his or her book.
Taylor Trade Publishing is especially interested in regional gardening, nature, field guides, cooking, sports, self-help, Texana/Western history, general history and entertainment. We do not publish fiction or poetry. However, proposals from institutions such as museums or galleries pertaining to their collections are strongly encouraged.
All proposals can be emailed to tradeeditorial@rowman.com, or sent by regular mail to Acquisitions Editor, Taylor Trade Publishing, 5360 Manhattan Circle #101, Boulder, CO 80303. Do not submit any original materials, as they will not be returned. If we think that your manuscript is a potential fit for Taylor Trade, we will contact you.
