Since its founding in 1992 by Barbara and Warren Phillips (former publisher and CEO of The Wall Street Journal), it has become known for discovering and launching the careers of talented new authors. Bridge Works titles have won the National Jewish Book Award and Canada's Arthur Ellis Award for best mystery; have been finalists for the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Award, and ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Award; and have been among The New York Times Notable Books of the Year.
